A member asked:

What should my target heart rate be while excirse i'm 22 on a beta blocker and my resting pulse is 68?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Target heart rate: The equation we use is 220- your age to get your maximum hr. Then 85% would be your target hr. If you ate physically not fut, the i would start by 60% of the target hr and then gradually increase activity. Do your target heart rate is around 168 and you can start by 130 and increase gradually. Beta blockers tend to prevent hr from going up and may not be well tolerate at young age.
