A member asked:

Hi i am 17 years old and have had my period for 4 years and have never had a regular period, they are always 2-5 months late.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

21-35 days: Normal periods generally happen 21-35 days apart. It may be time to have your periods regulated for a period of time (2-3 years) by cycling on oral contraceptives. There could be other reasons which include excessive exercise, endocrine problems, or even tumors. It would be best to discuss this with a gynecologist.
