A member asked:

My sgpt level is 152 iu/l. i used to drink 4-5 days in a week and takes around 375 ml at one drink session.is it dangerous for my liver?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No alcohol, please: Heavy drinking is going to cause permanent liver damage. Alcoholic hepatitis or liver cirrhosis could be options if you will continue drinking. There are more complications of heavy alcohol consumption that mentioned above, but since liver enzymes are already elevated it means some liver damage has occurred.
