A member asked:

Due to a benign 2x4cm growth on the right vagal nerve, the nerve had to be cut. what does this now mean for the patient?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vagotomy: Benign tumors of the vagus nerve are extremely rare. The location of the tumor determines the impact on cutting of the vagus nerve. Discuss with the surgeon who removed the tumor to assess the impact on the patient.
