Will a soft tissue ct scan of neck show a tumor in the tonsil? if cancer, would the tonsil get larger pretty quick? no swollen nodes.

Possibly: Why exactly did you get a ct scan? Most of the time a ct scan of the neck can identify a tumor or swelling. However, this depends on what type of scan was performed. A swollen tonsil may represent many things such as infection or cancer. Cancer generally grows slowly over a period of months/years.
