Healed: The area should be satisfactorily healed by now unless you have bleeding problem history. Avoid harsh foods on that side for another week to be sure.

No: By 8 days your socket should be well on its way to healing.

Don't Worry: The clot is most fragile the first few days after it forms. By now the original clot is being transformed and should no longer be able to be dislodged unless one is purposefully digging into the extraction site.

No: Sounds like you have followed all of your post-surgical instructions and are healing well. The blood clot has done its duty and is allowing the extraction site to start to form the matrix then the bone will fill in the void. Do not worry about the blood clot.

Out of the woods: Most cases f dry socket occur within the first 2.5 to 3 days. 8 days out your probably will not have an issue. The are will still be tender and you need to be careful for your comfort.

No worry: Tooth extraction is a surgical procedure and is not completely risk-free. Pain, bleeding, swelling and infection following surgery is usually at its worst 24 – 48 hours after surgery. After that it should subside more and more every day and after 7 days stop. See your dentist or an oral surgeon for post-op appointment if concerned. No worry..

No: Don't be rough on the area, but it sounds like things are healing well.

Do not be concerned: Don't worry! After 8 days your healing process is well underway! You should continue to feel good and improve. Be sure to followup with your dental surgeon.

OK: You should be well on the road to healing, so just make sure to keep area spotlessly clean. I would, however, recommend that you talk to your Dentist about replacing the missing tooth (unless it was a wisdom tooth) to keep other teeth from drifting.
