Valsalva: The valsalva maneuver (a strong exertion of muscles against a closed glottis) causes an extreme elevation of your blood pressure and chest pressure. When you are done with the exercise your blood pressure tries to normalize and sometimes over shoots. This causes a decreased amount of blood flow to the brain which makes you feel like you were going to pass out. This can be exacerbated by drugs or dehydration.
