Get them fixed: Post traumatic sensitivity is a warning sign that the nerve is inflamed . The inflammation could be reversible or irreversible depending on how close the trauma is to the nerve or the pulp tissue . Traumatized teeth (chipped) could be treated with bonding or laminates or even crowns it depends on how involved the situation is.Sealant is a material dentists apply to teeth to fight back decay

Second opinion: Is warranted. Dental sealant is a thin, composite coating painted on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth to prevent tooth decay. It is also used to protect an exposed dentin in a broken or chipped tooth. However, it is not a durable material for permanent or cosmetic restorations. Rec.: second opinion with another dentist for diagnosis and treatment.

Not ideal: Sealant works best to cover deep grooves they are not strong enough to fill tooth check with your dentist.
