Colonscopy: General screening for colonoscopy begins at age 50. Since you are not there yet, talk with your doctor about your concerns about your stool.

See doctor first: Would need more information to advise about need for colonoscopy: for example, change in bowel habits? Unintended weight loss? Duration of symptoms? Your doctor will want this information and will perform a physical exam, then be able to advise you on need for colonoscopy.
