Depends.: If the cyst on your ovary is 9millimeters then it's most likely a normal cyst that the ovary forms, but if it's 9centimeters then you need to have it removed surgically, depending on the rest of your evaluation - it may be able to be done laparoscopically in which case you should be able to go home the day of surgery but the other features of your evaluation (features of the cyst, tumor markers, e.
