A member asked:

What can be the possible causes of an elevated dhea sulfate level (elevated adrenal hormones) of 599 mcg/dl? idiopathic? got period 3 months late?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It is abnormal.: High dhea-s reflect a source from adrenal : it could be polycystic ovarian disease - pcos or could be abnormal adrenal which may need mri/cat scan, but before that you need to repeat dhea-s. Please consult endocrinologist.
