My friend's age is 20.she has high levels of dhea.can you say causes of that?hormone level and period are regular.is that very serious odangerous?

Depends on levels: Dhea is the most abundant adrenal hormone. It's sulfated form is more stable. Labs are not perfect and i wonder why the level was checked in the first place. It may need to be followed and may mean nothing if she is healthy and a symptomatic, but best to have it repeated. If level is too high, more evaluation is needed.
