A member asked:

Why does my heart start pound shortly after falling asleep? all of my heart test results have been normal; i have low heart rate at night (51-52 bpm)

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sleeping position: Is the pounding related to your position in bed? If it does that when you are lying on your left side, does it go away on changing position? Try changing your position and the garments you wear to sleep.
