OK if > 1 month: Isotretinoin can cause significant birth defects (ex: facial, eye, ear, skull, central nervous system, cardiovascular, thymus, and parathyroid gland abnormalities) therefore females should not become pregnant during therapy or for 1 month following discontinuation of the medicine. If it has been > 1 month since taking the last dose of medication then it would be safe to proceed with pregnancy.
