See a dermatologist: Most likely allergic to nickel. Bring all your jewelry to a dermatologist who can quickly test all pieces, including the backs. Then you will know which are safe to use. Another, less common allergy is to Bacitracin or neosporin or triple antibiotic. None of these should ever be used on skin because of allergic reactions. Usually 14k gold, stainless steel, and plastics are ok.
