No.: Carpal tunnel causes symptoms in your hand and wrist primarily. In some cases the pain may radiate into the forearm, but an inability to move your arm would not be expected.

NO: Carpal tunnel syndrome affects the median nerve in your hand usually making the index, middle, and ring fingers numb. There may be some shooting pain in the forearm (especially at night) but if your whole arm is numb you need an evaluation for other causes and sources such as neck (cervical spine).
