A member asked:

I'm in my twenties and my blood pressure is 140/85, should i get worried?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hypertension: A blood pressure of 140 would meet the diagnosis for hypertension i.e. High blood pressure. High blood pressure is a risk factor for many serious illnesses such as heart disease and stroke. You must have it checked and followed at your doctor. Diet and exercise are good for lowering blood pressure, but if those alone are not effective, then medications could be required/recommended.
