A member asked:

Does an md sign off for my service dog and can i just take the letter to my doctor and have him sign it if he doesn't or can't what will he have to do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: It depends on the reason for your dog. If the doctor is qualified to prescribe a service dog for your particular need, they may feel comfortable signing the appropriate paper work. If not you may need a more specialized practitioner, eg. Occupational, psychiatric, etc.
