A 20-year-old female asked:
Thick white vaginal discharge w/ foul odor. doc tested for yeast, bv, & std. said it was borderline bv. prescribed metronidazole. still have bad odor?

It takes a few days: "Borderline" BV probably is real BV, and metronidazole orally almost always is effective. (Vaginal metronidazole doesn't work well.) You don't say how much time has passed; it takes a few days.
