Could be related: Annie, with your gall bladder removed, it is not going to be that problem, but when this happens and the usual tests (ultrasound, ct scan, labs) are normal (rule out retained stone), it could suggest a problem called "sphincter of oddi dysfunction." the only real way to diagnose is to remove the gall bladder from the equation. You will now need some GI testing to see if this might the issue.
