Day care: Before your premie starts day care he has all the required immunizations. While exposure to illnesses helps build immunity there is no point to expose a child when not necessary.

Yes: That and vaccines is how we all develop our immune resistance. In the pre-daycare world, kids had the same result with family gatherings or church nursery.By the time of school entry, most dropped illness frequency from 5-7/yr to 3-5. Premis are a diverse group.Some have no special needs as they approach day care and others may have issues.Your doc should guide you on specifics.
