Stop worrying: A few men run a high ggt. It is probably hereditary. If you have no other lab evidence of liver disease nowadays, and you feel well, it's time to get on with your life.

You probably: Had a viral infection that affected your liver for a brief time. If you have autoimmune hepatitis, sometimes only way to know for sure is by biopsy. Consult with a hepatologist, a liver specialist, because sometimes this condition can progress to cirrhosis.
