Avoid triggers/meds: You know your triggers like hormonal changes like premenstrual in women, certain foods and beverages like caffeine, lack of sleep etc. There are two kind of meds for migraine, the controller meds which are used in patients with frequent attacks and reliever meds which relieve the pain of acute attack. The controller meds have to be taken daily and reduces number of attacks and reliever meds for relief.
