How to get over circumcision?

Short or long term?: Assume this was your circumcision. Minimize activity until pain & swelling settle down. Take pain medication which will need 2B stronger than Tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen. Wear supportive jockey or boxer-brief underpants, padded if necessary.. Might need sedative/anti-anxiety medication like Ativan at night to reduce anxiety & propensity for erections. Avoid erotic situations. Give it couple of weeks.
