The whys.: Some people have had no personal experience w depression. They have not had a close relationship w someone w depression or experienced it themselves. Others may have been brought up to be stoic or with he belief that all emotional issues can be overcome by willpower. Some believe that depression is a choice (occasionally it is a choice). Ignorance may be a factor. Some don't believe in things >.
