Vaginal tear: At 53, sometimes intercourse can produce a tear in an estrogen depleted vaginal lining. The best treatment would be to use a pad and allow healing to take place for about two weeks. This, unless the tear is much more pronounced should be sufficient. If the tear is larger, suturing may be necessary, so if bleeding persists, see your gyn provider.
