What have been the biggest improvements in child birth and obstetrics in the past 10 years?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Elective deliveries: I am sure it would depend on who you ask but in my mind one of the greatest improvements in child birth in the last 10 years are guidelines from the american academy of obsetrics and gynecology that call for an end to elective csections and inductions before 39 weeks. When followed this guideline has led to a huge drop in nicu admissions for near term babies with respiratory distresss.
