FGM is criminal: It is genital butchery. Clitoris is amputated & often labia or vagina partially closed together to prevent penetration. It is illegal in all civilized countries and perpetrators face jail in the USA. Occasional surgeon performs procedure to remove tiny hood of clitoral skin which partially covers glans clitoris. Purpose is to increase clitoral sensation during sex. In males only foreskin removed.
