Can be with erection: Post-operative Ativan (lorazepam) can reduce nocturnal erections which can be painful after circumcision. Pain can also be significantly reduced with pain medications.

Usually: The penis is very sensitive and therefore painful after surgery. The pain will decrease steadily after surgery. By two weeks should be pain free.
