Fever: A fever is considered to be 100.4 F or higher. 98.6 is considered the "normal" temperature, but like anything temperatures have a "normal" range. A temperature in the 99 degree range is normal and not a true fever. As long as he doesn't appear to have any others symptoms and signs to suggest a contagious illness (sore throat, vomiting, etc), there should be no restrictions.
