Fever is ok: Fevers are ok and are not dangerous to children. Its ok to treat the discomfort (chills, aches, etc) from a fever with tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin but you do not need to treat the fever itself. Fever is actually one of body's mechanisms for fighting off the infection.
