A member asked:

Can you tell me about a rigid cystoscopy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Rigid cysto: A rigid cystoscopy is a procedure that involves a scope which is placed into the urethra and into the bladder. Water is used to distend the bladder so the inner lining can be inspected. Flexible cystoscopy is easier to tolerate in the office and rigid cystoscopy is more uncomfortable especially for men and is better under anesthesia.
