A member asked:

If a person is hiv positive starting at age 20 then could they live to be 90?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, it is possible: Yes, it is much more possible these days due to the current anti-HIV medications. People are living much longer with HIV these days. I have quite a few older patients in their 70s and 80s that are doing well with HIV as long as they remain on their medications.
