A member asked:

What is the effectiveness of taking both xanax (alprazolam) and lutera?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

They have nothing to: do with each other. Lutera is an oral contraceptive used as birth control, and Xanax (alprazolam) is a benzodiazepine tranquilizer used to treat anxiety. Not sure I understand your question. Lutera is an effective form of birth control, and Xanax is an effective drug to treat occasional anxiety or panic attacks. However, for long-term anxiety, Xanax has a great deal of abuse potential.
