A member asked:

Are there any high blood pressure quick fixes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unfortunately no: You can improve your blood pressure through weight loss (if you are overweight) and aerobic activity but this will usually be a slow improvement over several months. Most people with high blood pressure will require medication to control it and prevent long-term complications (including heart attack and strokes). Medication can control high blood pressure but will not cure it.
