Whereas menstrually-related migraine attacks typically occur 3-7 days before day 1 of the menstrual cycle, true menstrual migraines begin two days before the menstrual cycle and lasts through day 3 of the cycle. Eastern medicine has an excellent track record for managing menstrual migraine.
