Depending on symptom: Uterine myomas need surgical treatment depending on the severity of symptoms. Heavy menses >8 days, >8ppd, intermenstrual bleeding, severe pain that does not respond to medical treatment. Myoma can be treated with BCP, progesterone, GnRH analogs in order to decrease flow and control pain.
