If cont M.D. visit: These are good screening tests to start with to rule out major causes of chest pain related to the cardio-pulmonary system. If you do experience continued pain though, a further evaluation is needed. Other causes of chest pain will be evaluated if you continue to have chest pain. Your reflux is another condition that can cause pain.

Chest wall pain: Hi kylem, chest wall pain usually refers to the muscles, bones (ribs and sternum), and other soft tissue that makes up the chest wall. In an emergency room, they will always venture to rule out heart things first. It sounds like they did, very thoroughly. In a young person (like you) chest wall pain is usually from pulling a muscle or trauma. Anti- inflammatory medications can be helpful.
