A member asked:

Can a person with type 2 diabetes, (blood sugar normally 140-170 on insulin) vomit from a blood sugar of 90?

Not likely: A blood sugar of 90 should not be the cause of vomiting even in a diabetic.

Blood sugar: Two things: 1: a blood sugar of 90 should not cause vomiting. With your stated range of 140-170 you need to work out why you got to 90. 2: "blood sugar normally 140-170" is not a great start. You would be taking care of yourself much better if you aim for 90- 150. When you achieve that you can begin having a lower range, 70-120 would be great!

No: Hi. You can CERTAINLY vomit with a blood sugar of 90, but it's not the blood sugar of 90 that made you vomit. You have something else going on that made you vomit (GI virus, gastroparesis, etc). Talk with your doc if it keeps up. Good luck!
