A member asked:

Is it normal to feel anxiety, nervous, sick to my stomach and crying with my only child moving out?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Of course!: Your baby is moving out and, although this means you have mothered well, you are sad. It would be important, though, not to let your child know how stressed out you are. It's best to take this anxiety to a counselor or psychotherapist and deal with it directly. Honor the part that is sad, but don't get stuck in the sadness. Get help to move forward. This is a normal part of mothering.
