Nasacort (triamcinolone): As the name implies nasacort (triamcinolone) is limited to symptoms of allergic rhinitis.

Somewhat: There are some studies that show that controlling upper airway allergies do help mitigate lower airway symptoms. Not as much as standard drugs for asthma, such as bronchodilators, inhaled (lung) steroids, leukotriene modifiers, oral steroids, etc. But the concept of "united airways" is an important one.
