Yes. Intranasal...: ...corticosteroids are very effective in treating nasal allergies and treating nasal allergies may help control asthma. However, because it's available OTC and it comes with some side effects, you should advise doctor that you're using it. Best wishes. Dr. Anne.

Yes: Yes, my research and experience suggests, suboptimal response if treating asthma independent of allergic rhinitis or vice versa. Coexisting conditions, can also make asthma and allergy more challenging and should be treated as well, such as treating reflux. While on prilosec, would recommend supplementing the diet with calcium, magnesium, vitamins B and D.
