Stopping Nasacort (triamcinolone): With Nasacort (triamcinolone) and all of the nasal corticosteroids, there is very little drug absorbed into the systemic circulation. The action of the drug is pretty much confined to the area to where the drug is delivered. Therefore, you should not experience any adverse effects by abruptly stopping intranasal administration. Oral or injected corticosteroids would certainly need to be tapered.
