Not necessarily : Every sensation experienced in the arms is transmitted by nerves to the brain. And so, when a nerve is pinched, it can cause a number of different sensations including burning. I would let your doctor know if your symptoms have changed and he may want to check you. Thank you.

Nerve irritation : Depending on the location of the disc herniation, nerve root irritation can result in either leg or arm pain which may be of a burning character. Should be evaluated.
