Biopsy is the Answer: Pet scan only tells us that something is wrong(metabolically active). It can not tell the difference between infection and cancer. So biopsy is essential to find out what is going on inside the lymph nodes. Lymphoma is only likely if the nodes are quite large in size and have steadily increased in size over 9 months that you have been pursuing them. What the size range of your lymph nodes?
