Sore throat?: If you're having other symptoms in addition to yellow and red lines on the roof of your mouth, such as sore throat, fever, cough, or pain when you swallow, its possible that its a pharyngitis, or throat infection. Most of the time they are caused by a virus, and it just takes time. Sometimes they are caused by a bacteria, and for these you might need antibiotics.
