Wisdom teeth extracted a week ago. surgeon says i am healing very well and should continue the salt water rinses. how long do i keep doing the rinses?

I more week or so: Should be fine, giving the area at least 2 weeks to heal, however, you can never go wrong by asking the same question to the treating dr. Since they did the surgery and know how your healing was progressing after they examined you. Good luck.

Keep site clean: You want to keep surgical site free of food and debris until healed. Salt water okay as is mouth wash. NO SMOKING...As sites heal they will be less of a food trap.
