A member asked:

Could constip/distension after prolonged diarrhea cause sciatic/nerve irritation? 3 days now w/continuous (ie constant not crampy) bilateral calf pain. no unusual exercise. hist of ibs, fasciculation

No: Diarrhea and constipation do not cause sciatica. Bilateral calf pain is probably unrelated to the change in bowel habits. Bilateral calf pain is usually due to something higher up than the calf, such as sciatica or some type of generalized inflammatory condition. See your primary care physician for follow up.

Dehydration .: Most likely due to loss of electrolytes . Try to drink gatorade/ magnesium supplements . If not better see md to rule out blood clots in the leg veins. ( doppler test of legs ).
