Sounds like Reflux: Probably reflux which can be related to certain things you eat and drink and alcohol especially can cause reflux. I would tread carefully you might find wine is ok or makes reflux come back. You can also now take over the counter anti-acid like Prilosec to help with reflux symptoms.
