GERD: This is from your gastroesophageal reflux disease. Please return to your prescribing physician and ask about other options to get that under better control. Certainly raising the head of your bed is one of those. It maybe necessary to add in the nonabsorbent agent carafate (sucralfate) to the medication are already taking. If that does not take care of it then you should see an ENT doctor. The possibility of sleep apnea along with gerd also exists. Best wishes to you.

YES!: Sore throat is less common, but mucous in the throat is a very common symptom that many people do not know is a sign of reflux. See you physician or ent!
